Québec, le 10 juin 2013 – L’Association minière du Québec (AMQ) se dit préoccupée par les échos qu’elle reçoit des négociations des conventions collectives dans le secteur de la construction et craint les impacts possibles que pourraient avoir les demandes syndicales sur le développement des projets miniers. L’AMQ apporte ainsi son appui à la démarche du Conseil du patronat du Québec qui a invité les parties à parvenir rapidement à une entente de principe qui tienne notamment compte de la capacité de payer des donneurs d’ouvrage.

Québec City, June 10, 2013 – The Québec Mining Association (QMA) has expressed its concern with the direction negotiations are taking for the construction sector collective agreements, and fears the possible impact of demands on the development of mining projects. The QMA supports the position of the Conseil du patronat du Québec, which has called on the parties to outline an agreement in principle that takes into account the ability to pay of clients in the construction sector.

O’Connell 2012 attribué annuellement aux entreprises ayant enregistré les performances et améliorations les plus marquées dans le domaine de la sécurité dans les mines du Québec.

L’Estérel, June 9, 2013 – Four mining companies from the Abitibi-Témiscamingue, Estrie and Montérégie regions have been awarded the 2012 F.J. O’Connell trophy, presented annual to the Québec companies that have the best record and have seen the most improvements in the field of mine safety.
