Mining industry scholarship
The Québec Mining Association sponsors a scholarship program to encourage and provide financial assistance for Québec universities students in the earth sciences and related fields.
Three scholarships of $1,000 each are awarded annually.

Eligibility criteria
- Be enrolled as an undergraduated student in one of the following university-level programs in Québec
- Mine engineering
- Geology
- Mineral Processing
- Metallurgy
- Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
- Be domiciled in Québec
- Submit a scholarship application before December 11, 2020

Claude-Drouin postgraduate research scholarship
A $4,000 postgraduate research scholarship awarded by the Claude-Drouin Foundation is available for Master’s and doctoral-level students working in a research field covered by SOREDEM’s mission statement.

Eligibility criteria
- Be registered full-time at a Québec university in a Master’s or Doctoral program in a technology research field covered by SOREDEM
- Be a Canadian citizen or landed immigrant
- Be domiciled in Québec
- Submit a scholarship application before December 11, 2020
Selection criteria
- Demonstrated interest in research and development in the mining sector
- Career project
- Cooperation or involvement with the mining industry during the research
- Quality of references
- Quality of file presentation
